Why use Soocial?
Our philosophy is that there is no good hassle-free solution yet to the contact management problem. We aim to link all currently disconnected address books to each other. A change in one of those will result in a change in all your connected devices.
Works with the following:

BlackBerry Coming soon!

More reasons to use Soocial:

-
OAuth based API
We support OAuth authentication so you can allow external applications to access your contacts in a manner that doesn't require you to reveal your Soocial username or password.
-
Delete means delete!
Soocial has an easy come, easy go policy. If you want to leave, all you have to do is delete your account, all data corresponding to your account will be removed.
Real friends, real network
Who do you call for a real beer? Who do you play poker with? Usually your most important social network is the one recorded in your mobile phone. This network is our first life, these are our real friends. Soocial provides a synchronization tool to grease your first-life social network.
Not a social network
Soocial is not a social networking site. It is a solution to easily combine and manage the many places where you store your important contact data. Current solutions are cumbersome, limited or just too 'techy'. Soocial aims to offer a hassle-free solution to your contact management.
Public beta
Soocial has been released in phases over the last few months. We started of in private alpha, then went into a private beta and just recently have opened our doors to everyone thereby moving into public beta. Because we are trying to solve a complex problem with so many aspects over which we have little control - we've had to build software that recovers gracefully. Because of our alpha and beta testers and their awesome feedback we have been able to greatly improve our service. Our beta testers have been invaluable in helping us debug our system and improve quality and stability.
Your data is your data
Soocial believes in open data, that means that you can access all data within Soocial via an API. We provide an secure way to access your data that third parties can use. We also guarantee the destruction of your personal data when you decide to leave us and remove your account.
Plays well with others
One of the ideas behind Soocial is to plug into existing software, not re-create software for each connected device. This means you can use your existing software in the same way as you already are. The difference is that with Soocial you have your contacts stored elsewhere available to use. For example on your phone you use the same address book interface you already use, not a separate one. Soocial plugs into the underlying contacts data and keeps that updated.
A word of caution
Because Soocial is still a beta product, we are working behind the scenes to improve the quality of existing features and still have many features in store. Please be patient during the beta since things will probably be wonky as we fix bugs and try a couple of different features and interface changes.
