How do I request a contact to become a connected friend?

Connected friend requests in Soocial's webapp

Any contact you have in your address book can become a connected friend. In Soocial's webapp you can pick a contact and choose to Connect with that contact. Soocial will then send an email with your details to that contact, along with a request to connect on Soocial. However the contact does not have to sign up to Soocial in order to get value out of it. If the user is not a Soocial user then we attach your details as a vCard as well as in the text of the email.

How do I accept or reject a connection request

In the email you receive you can click on a link that will take you to a page where you can either accept or reject the connection request. If you accept the connection then the details of the contact will appear in your address book within a few moments.

What happens after a I reject a connection request?

The contacts details will not be put into your address book. Also we do not notify rejected contacts of a rejected request. The person that requested the connection will not receive your updated information and the connection request will dissapear from our system.

How do I remove a connection once I'm sick of that person?

You can always use the Soocial webapp to remove any a connection with another contact. Once you have removed the connection that user will no longer recieve updates to your contact details. However he will continue to have the details you already shared with him. We do not remove your information from his or her address book.

Can I choose from multiple profiles to share with people?

No, not yet. We believe this is probably a good idea for the future but has not been implemented yet. Please let us know if you think this is necessary and that you would want this on our community forum.

What does "always reachable" mean?

Ha! Good question. In fact probably you don't want to always be reachable - in our case it refers to having the correct information to be able to reach someone, or have someone reach you. However of course sometimes you just want to enjoy those quiet moments where you don't want to be bothered. Thank fully your phone has a setting for that: the quiet mode! ;-) Soocial enables you to have the correct information in your address books - you will still have to manage your own sanity and quiet moments.
