Soocial launches service for unified address book
Arnhem, the Netherlands - April 16th 2008 — As of today, there is a new, secure and hassle-free solution for contact management. Soocial is launching its services today: synchronizing contacts between computers, mobile phones and web applications.
Soocial is an initiative created by Stefan Fountain and Daniel Spronk, owners of successful media agency Eight Media. The idea behind Soocial was born from their own experience with contact management. “We needed a bunch of new computers and migrating the address book was such a hassle. Then we thought, wait a minute, in order to really solve this problem we need to solve it for our phones too” explains Stefan.
Soocial is an elegant tool yet simple. Once you’ve registered you can start adding your connections. Soocial creates one address book, if you edit one contact it automatically updates it on all other devices linked to Soocial. It also creates backups and cleans doubles, making your life easier.
Currently Soocial is working in closed-beta and syncs with over 400 mobile phones, Gmail, 37Signals’ Highrise CRM app, and contacts in your Mac address book. Next step for Soocial is support for Outlook and also support for Blackberry, Windows Live Mail and Yahoo Mail.
